NIKE + COLLEGE FOR CREATIVE STUDIES
THE NIKE TRX EXPERIENCE
The objective: Create a user experience for the Olympics that trains and connects BMX riders all over the world.
Idea: BMX was born on the streets. So, we created smart devices that help inspire BMX riders to challenge each other and accelerate their abilities. We designed two socially-adapted products that sync with one another: The Nike Fly, the world’s first 360 smart drone and The Nike Hub, a holographic display hub that mounts to the bike itself.
We had the privilege of pitching this big idea directly to the Nike Design and Innovation Team in 2012. Watch the pitch video below.
INTRODUCING THE NIKE FLY
The Nike Fly is a gyro-powered Smart Drone and interactive training system for BMX riders.
THE TRX MOBILE APP
We created an entire social community for them to go from good rider, to great. They can track their stats, document their rides and share them online. With the help of built-in wifi and GPS, they can stay connected locally and compete in realtime against the best BMX riders from across the globe.
THE NIKE TRX INTERFACE DEMO PITCH
This is the actual footage of me pitching the interface design to the Nike Design and Innovation teams in 2012.
turning blight into NIKE TRX TRAINING FACILITIES
Along with the training products, our goal was to transform urban blight into modern Nike TRX Olympic Training Facilities for riders in Brazil and Detroit. Putting BMX back on the streets where it belongs.
